  Why should you join SWEIO?

Quality.

A list of SWEIO previous speakers includes: Mia Farrow, Jack Anderson, Harry K. Wong, Gwendolyn Brooks, Linda Ellerbee, Mike Farrell, Edwin Newman, Mary Francis Barry, Michael Feldman, Art Linkletter, Daniel Schorr, Corretta Scott King, Frank McCourt, Richard Dreyfus, and Homer Hickum. These are just a few of the quality speakers SWEIO has brought to address its membership.

Depth.
Besides a glittering array of “name” speakers, SWEIO provides many topical and thought provoking sectionals. A typical convention might contain a forum on special education integration, an exploration of Native American Culture, a speaker on teachers as researchers, a musical ensemble, a teacher’s retirement specialist and up to 40 more compelling topics.

Responsiveness.
You help make decisions about the convention. You elect representatives to the Executive Board and to the annual delegate Assembly. You fill out post-convention evaluation forms. You tell your district SWEIO representative about dynamic inservice presenters you have seen. In fact, you are SWEIO.
Reliability. SWEIO has more than a century of experience behind it. How many other organizations can claim that Wisconsin Governor W. D. Hoard addressed their 1890 convention?

Cost.
The SWEIO Convention continues to be an inservice bargain. The cost is $ 20.00 if purchased before February 1st and $25.00 purchased at the door. Besides saving you money,SWEIO saves you time. SWEIO day becomes one day when you can just relax and enjoy the presentations instead of one in which you’re tending to a million small, but important, details at a local inservice.
